VMWare has launched its alpha version for vSphere mobile client. Using the mobile application, which is currently only available for Android you can manage and monitor your virtual environment. For now, you can power on and off your virtual machines and look at historical and real-time performance metrics.

To install the application, you need to apply as an alpha tester – here. Afterwards apply to get the application – here, and install it on your mobile device.

If vCenter is only available locally, you need to connect to a wi-fi which is on the same subnet as your management network, or at least can see it.
